Position Description

Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Sunnyvale, CA

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new artificial neural network models for multiview geometry relating to autonomy and machine vision applications;
  • Determine state-of-the-art, applicability to problem, and ways to extend the state-of-the-art to better solve the company’s problems;
  • Design scalable software architecture and infrastructure for developing and training neural networks;
  • Assist in understanding the hardware needs of the team and pricing and evaluating options to meet these needs;
  • Collaborate with Imaging Systems team members to define and develop interfaces between ANN models and computational imaging codebase;
  • Determine the appropriate points in processing flow to inject new artificial neural network models; build tools to extract training data for models at the appropriate points in flow;
  • Collaborate on specification of data required for training and validating performance of artificial neural network models against current processing flow;
  • Develop neural networks based ML systems - Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch;
  • Build data pipeline to extract training data - Python, Opencv, numpy, matplotlib;
  • Define data requirements for building new NN based applications;
  • Evaluate, re-train models in Tensorflow, Pytorch;
  • May work remotely; periodic time in office required; must live within commuting distance of office.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 5 years of experience.
  • Required skills:
    • develop neural networks based ML systems - Python, Tensorflow, Pytorch (5 years of experience);
    • build data pipeline to extract training data - Python, Opencv, numpy, matplotlib (5 years of experience);
    • define data requirements for building new NN based applications (5 years of experience);
    • evaluate, re-train models in Tensorflow, Pytorch (5 years of experience);
    • may work remotely;periodic time in office required; must live within commuting distance of office.
