Summary:
We are looking for a summer intern to learn the ropes, supporting our System Engineer and System Tests Engineers with field tests at our Gilroy Test Field, Iowa Test Field, and Customer fields.
In this role, you will work on the deployment of SEE AND SPRAY across a fleet of vehicles through testing, triaging, and debugging. This role is multi-team, multi-disciplinary with high visibility and will have a large impact on the future of precision agriculture. Our teams are empowered to figure out how to overcome challenges, plan and prioritize work – everyone is a key contributor.
This person will support machine bring up, debugging, documenting, prototyping, and system testing of new technologies that will be revolutionary in robotic and computer vision based systems for agriculture. The ideal candidate will have system-level curiosity, enjoy a fast-paced environment and will deliver results regardless of challenges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the integration, verification and validation of complex multi-disciplinary robotic systems with Embedded Software, Electrical Engineering, Operations, and related teams
- Learn how to maintain test strategies and tests that check the intersection of HW, SW, and cloud components working together, ensuring proper system functionality for fleet-deployed vehicles in-market
- Document complex problems in real-time, escalating to appropriate stakeholders across the organization
- Directly support fleet deployment both remotely and in customer fields
Required Experience & Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master of Science Program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Agricultural field
- Excited by high tech vehicles, robotic, or agricultural products.
- Willingness to travel and provide hands-on support
- Generalist attitude with proven ability to dive deep fast and willingness to learn continuously
- Linux familiarity, including script programming, CANbus networking and Ethernet networking
- Solid understanding of software complexity and system architecture interaction
- Scrappiness and perseverance; demonstrated ability to be successful in uncertain situations, and high degree of agility and creativity to adapt and react to learning

The US base salary range for this position is $36.00 - $56.00 per hour
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
