Position Description

Title and Location: Robotics Engineer in Santa Clara, CA. 

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement algorithms and tools for sensor fusion for self-driving vehicles
• Design and develop subsystems for mapping, localization, and object tracking for self-driving vehicles
• Improve perception and vehicle planning with multi-body kinematics for tractors with multiple sections and implements
• May work remotely; periodic time in office required; must live within commuting distance of the office. 

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Robotics or related field or foreign academic equivalent
• 1 year of experience
• Required skills: Write unit tests using Python and C++ to ensure production-level quality of code that runs on physical robots (1 year)
• improve and develop production-level end-to-end simulation tools for validation of real world robotic applications (1 year)
• Develop efficient algorithms deployed on autonomous robots using object oriented programming in Python or C++ (1 year)
• Estimate and utilize an object’s pose and state in a camera-based perception system (1 year)
• Conduct independent research and development work in motion analysis, behavior planning, and constraint handling for autonomous robotics applications (1 year)
• Design, evaluate and establish robotic system architecture and application programming interfaces (1 year)
• Use applied math to design and implement algorithms to handle 3D geometry and kinematics relevant to the robot and the objects it interacts with (1 year)
